We are seeking a dedicated Security Service Engineer to join our client’s fire and security team based in Leicester, Midlands. The role involves installation, maintenance, and repair of intruder alarm and access control systems, ensuring the security infrastructure operates reliably and efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for on-site repairs, system diagnostics, and support for a variety of security systems including CCTV, DVR/NVR, and access control platforms. You will be expected to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly, providing excellent service to clients while adhering to safety standards and protocols. The role offers flexibility with remote and hybrid working options, and the opportunity to work on a diverse range of security systems in a dynamic environment.
- Experience as a Security Service Engineer with relevant technical knowledge in security systems.
- Sound knowledge of CCTV, IT, PID systems, and DVR & NVR systems on varying scales.
- Strong understanding of Access Control systems, including site mustering capabilities.
- Ability to perform on-site repairs and first-line troubleshooting of gates, barriers, and related systems.
- Knowledge of networks, IP systems, and video matrix systems is desirable.
- Experience with alarm systems such as Galaxy Alarms or Cortech GUI is a plus.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
